11th Annual Trade & International Affairs Symposium

The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) will hold its annual Trade and International Affairs Symposium on Wednesday, September 21, from 3:00-5:30 PM EST. Hosted at the Woodrow Wilson Center, the program will take place at 1300 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, D.C. 20004. The in-person program will be available via livestream.

The CHLI Trade & International Affairs Symposium connects international business leaders, experts on trade, the diplomatic community, foreign ministers and U.S. government officials to discuss trade issues and international affairs that affect U.S. global competitiveness and the impact of the U.S. Hispanic and Portuguese communities in a global economy.

Held during Hispanic Heritage Month, the Symposium includes remarks by Members of Congress regarding trade. Panel discussions focus on global trade partnerships, where there are opportunities for growth, and business in the Western hemisphere. Panelists include Members of Congress, executives from global corporations, import/export small business owners, attorneys who facilitate trade policy, technology and intellectual property experts, individuals from the diplomatic community, foreign business leaders and administration officials who help advance the presence of the United States abroad. The Symposium concludes with a prominent leader in trade addressing the audience. Speakers also include academic institution leaders who are preparing global leaders.
